Sixth European working conditions survey

Over 45% of Irish employees feel that their job offers good prospects for career advancement.

This is according to a recent report by Eurofound, the European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions. The report is based on over 44,000 employee interviews and gives an overview of Europe at work across countries, occupations, sectors and age groups.

The findings underline the importance of company and workplace practices in safeguarding health and safety (including against psychosocial risks), improving work–life balance, supporting career development, promoting skills use and development, managing workload and designing Earnings meaningful jobs.

The findings help to inform European and national employment policy to boost employment levels, prolong working life, increase the participation of women, develop innovation and adapt to the digital challenge.
