Grant Thornton - Embedding a Culture of Workplace Wellbeing

This was an excellent presentation of a wellbeing strategy that was clearly aligned to the business, according to the judges. The strategy had clear aims and objectives and was embedded into business goals and values. Grant Thornton were innovative in how they engaged with their young workforce, giving staff a say from day one. They responded to individuals’ needs, brought in policy changes, especially around leave. They have delivered a substantial impact on the business and attrition has reduced.

Nurturing Workplace Wellbeing: The Path to Thriving

This was another excellent presentation on an approach that emerged from the organisation's new People Strategy, THRIVE. Wellbeing is one of the key 5 pillars with the ‘H’ representing health and wellbeing. The judges wanted to recognise the really good groundwork and focus on people management that was laid in 2023, including the roll-out of health champions and innovative health check-ins.
